This project, carried out mainly in 2009-11, focuses on the evidence of various human activities carried out along the Estuary over the years as reflected in the contemporary landscape. I covered both banks of the river between Rainham and Shoeburyness on the Essex side, and between the Isle of Grain and Dartford on the Kent side. The images are sequenced west-east on the south bank and east-west ofn the north side.
During 2019/20 I have revisted parts of the estuary, photographing in both digital colour and black & white film.
